From the very start, Ashton’s vision for her wedding promised something unforgettable. On 24th May 2025, she and George celebrated their love at St Laurence’s Church in Scalby, before moving the celebrations onto George’s family home. Surrounded by 150 guests, the marquee by @willsmarquees transformed the space into a day full of charm, laughter, and joy.
🤍
Every detail felt thoughtfully curated, from Ashton’s breathtaking gown to the carefully chosen florals, creating a day that perfectly reflected their timeless yet relaxed style. It was a wedding full of warmth, elegance, and those little moments that stay with you forever.
🤍
Amy Katherine from @amykatherinephotography captured every memory with a beautiful, editorial eye, documenting a day that felt equal parts intimate and spectacular. From finding her dream dress at Marrime to the final dance with their nearest and dearest, Ashton and George’s wedding was a celebration of love, laughter, and family that will be remembered for years to come.

Which gown did you choose from Marrime and why?
“Kyha Bride – Luni. This gown was actually the first ever dress I’d saved for inspiration. Then I tracked down stockists of the designer, and that’s how I came across Marrime and it ended up being the one.”
It’s so special when the first dress that catches your eye ends up being the one. We love that your journey led you to Marrime – it was meant to be!
What made you say yes to the dress?
“It was love at first sight!”
🤍
There’s nothing quite like that instant “this is the one” feeling, so magical and unforgettable.
Did you make any customisations to your gown or accessories?
“I added extra buttons down the back of the dress.”
🤍
Those buttons matched your vibe of timeless elegance so beautifully; they’re such a subtle, stunning detail that really completes your look.

Did your bridal look evolve as you planned the rest of your wedding styling?
“I knew I wanted something clean and simplistic in terms of my dress and I think this followed through into the styling of the marquee for sure. My vision was simple and timeless. I wanted something I knew I’d love for years to come, something with sleek plain fabric and I went for just that!”
Your vision of simple, timeless elegance really shines through, not just in your gown, but in every detail of the marquee too. Sleek, clean lines and effortless style like that never go out of fashion. It is so clear you chose exactly what felt right for you and your partner!
How did your gown make you feel on the day?
“Even trying on the gown in the shop I felt like I was literally ready to go get married there and then – that’s how I knew it was the one. So on the day with hair and makeup up and all the finishing touches I felt amazing. It was so comfortable to wear and even though it fit like a glove I could eat and drink as much as I wanted without feeling the worry of looking bloated. I just felt the best version of myself!”
🤍
There’s something so special about a dress that makes you feel instantly ready for the aisle. Knowing you could move, eat, drink, and just enjoy every moment without a second thought, whilst still looking flawless, sounds like an absolute dream. It’s clear this gown let you fully be yourself and soak up every second of your day, which is exactly how it should be!

Tell us about your accessories – veil, shoes, jewellery, hair, makeup.
“I purchased my veil & earrings also from Marrime. My veil carried on the simplicity of the dress with a satin trim that seemed to perfectly match the fabric of the dress. I went for a pearl Kyha Bride hoop for earrings. I wanted a hoop as I wear them daily and wanted to feel like me. There just so happened to be this one set of pearl hoops at my accessory fitting and the fact they were the same designer as my dress felt like it was meant to be! My shoes were a satin court slingback shoe. I went more for comfort with my shoes as I knew they wouldn’t be on show too much and I wanted to be able to dance in them as long as possible.”
We love how perfectly it all came together! The fact your earrings are by the same designer as your dress is just too perfect, you’re totally a Kyha Bride. The simplicity of a satin trim veil can never be beaten! We love that you stayed true to yourself with your style; your wedding day is your day, and you should always feel like yourself, looking and feeling amazing every step of the way.
What was your hair and makeup brief?
“@elizabethamymakeupartist created my make-up look. She’s a friend from college so I knew I trusted her wholeheartedly. I just wanted to look fresh and flawless and she did just that for me; I don’t think it moved all day. Me and my mum have a salon so my hair was done by one of my colleagues @staceywatkinsonhair; again, having a friend be able to create your visions just made me feel so much more comfortable. Stacey nailed the ideas I had for my hair, I knew I wanted it up and out of my face, a little Pamela vibes but still with a bit of a sleek finish.”
Did you do an outfit change for the evening? If so, tell us everything.
“I didn’t change for the evening, we had some evening guests come too so I wanted them to see my day dress. I really honestly loved my dress so much I wanted to wear it as long as possible.”
🤍
Soaking up every second in your dreamy gown is the best way!
How would you describe your overall wedding style/aesthetic in three words?
“Fresh, elegant, timeless.”

What was your wedding day vibe?
“I think my wedding aesthetic was mainly just about putting together a warm, friendly, fun atmosphere for all our family and friends. Having a marquee I knew I was working with a complete blank canvas which at times made it harder but also easier as it meant I could really make it my own.”
We love how your vision for a warm, fun, and welcoming celebration really came to life. Having a blank canvas marquee means you could make the space completely your own. It is such a lovely way to create a day that feels effortlessly you.
Were there any specific colours, textures or references that inspired your styling?
“I wanted to have white florals with lots of foliage to add a bit of green into the marquee. I added some green in my textiles too with sage napkins and went for a wheat-coloured tablecloth to warm up the tables. The girls from @bellebijoux_events & @loveflorastudioco_ really helped make my design vision a reality.”
🤍
It is the best when everyone's visions align with your own! Having suppliers that understand your thoughts is priceless, it truly makes the whole wedding process seamless!
Tell us about the floral design – who was your florist and what was the vision?
“@minniebees did my flowers. Kirsty created clean, crisp florals full of a mix of foliage and seasonal white flowers. I wanted to edge away from the more traditional white wedding flowers like roses and go for more ditsy florals with bursts of hydrangeas and peonies to add a bit more drama.”

Were there any standout décor elements or details that made your day feel really you?
“Our ginormous disco ball, it was a pretty last-minute addition but it completely made the marquee and lit up the dance floor as the night went on.”
Go big or go home, right! We can only imagine how much fun this was to see and be a part of!
Favourite moment from the day?
“Singing and dancing the night away with @thefunctionband.”
Best piece of advice you’d give to other brides planning their wedding?
“Don’t sweat the small stuff, even the little things that maybe don’t fully go to plan no one notices and these won't be pivotal memories when you look back on your day.”
🤍
Whenever we ask our beautiful brides this question we always get the same response! It’s all about enjoying the day and soaking up the love.
Anything you’d do differently?
“I really wouldn’t! It is still very fresh in my memory though, ask me in another five years and I’ll probably be ready to plan a vow renewal haha.”

What did you love most about your experience at Marrime?
“I chose Marrime as they stocked a few designers I really loved and when I looked on Instagram I got a lovely feel for how the atmosphere of the shop came across. I had such a great experience there that I also recommended them to my sister who has just purchased her gown too!”
