ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER
Location: Marrime Bridalwear, Jesmond, Newcastle Upon Tyne
Hours: Full-time (42.5 hours per week, weekend availability essential)
Salary: £29,500–£30,700 per year

The Role
The Marrime Assistant Store Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Store Manager to deliver an exceptional bridal experience.
You’ll help lead a talented team of stylists, ensure smooth daily operations, and uphold Marrime’s high standards of service and presentation.
This role is perfect for a passionate, organised, and client-focused professional ready to step into a leadership path within luxury bridal retail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Support & Development
Assist the Store Manager in leading, motivating, and coaching the bridal stylist team.
Support staff development by providing guidance, training, and constructive feedback.
Help manage staff schedules and ensure coverage during peak periods.
2. Customer Experience
Ensure every bride’s journey in-store is seamless and memorable.
Handle client enquiries, VIP appointments, and complex requests with professionalism and care.
Monitor customer feedback and assist in implementing improvements to the in-store experience.
3. Sales Performance & Support
Assist in achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets alongside the Store Manager.
Support upselling across dresses, accessories, and shoes.
Provide input on sales initiatives, promotions, and in-store events.
4. Operational Excellence
Support all store operations, including stock management, merchandising, and presentation.
Ensure compliance with Marrime policies, procedures, and brand guidelines.
Assist with opening and closing duties, cash handling, and reporting as required.
5. Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with the Store Manager and Head Office to support product launches, trunk shows, and events.
Assist with content creation and styling advice for marketing campaigns.
Communicate team updates, client insights, and store needs to leadership.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Retail experience in a supervisory or senior sales role, ideally within luxury fashion, bridal, or premium lifestyle brands.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and support a team.
- Excellent client service skills and a professional, approachable manner.
- Commercially aware with a focus on achieving sales targets.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Flexible availability to work both mid-week and weekends, including evenings and peak trading periods.
Desirable:
- Experience in bridal or occasionwear retail.
- Knowledge of luxury client expectations and styling expertise.
- Familiarity with Shopify POS or similar retail systems.

BRIDAL SALES CONSULTANT
Location: Marrime Bridalwear, Jesmond, Newcastle Upon Tyne
Hours: Part-time (flexible availability required, weekend availability essential)

The Role
The Marrime Bridal Sales Consultant plays an important role in delivering the exceptional, luxury bridal experience we are known for.
You’ll work one-to-one with brides during private showroom appointments, helping them feel welcomed, confident and beautiful while guiding them towards finding their dream wedding dress and accessories.
This role is perfect for a warm, professional and client-focused individual with a passion for people, style and delivering a truly personalised experience within luxury bridal retail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bridal Appointments & Customer Experience
Deliver exceptional one-to-one appointments for brides in our Jesmond showroom.
Create a warm, welcoming and luxurious environment where every bride feels comfortable, cared for and celebrated.
Provide personalised styling support and guidance throughout the bridal journey.
Ensure each customer receives a memorable and seamless experience from first appointment through to purchase.
Handle client enquiries via email and phone with professionalism, warmth and efficiency.
2. Sales & Client Relationships
Support brides in finding their dream gown and accessories while confidently working towards sales targets.
Build strong relationships with customers, nurturing trust from the initial consultation through to closing the sale.
Identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience through thoughtful recommendations and upselling.
Maintain a customer-first approach while delivering excellent commercial results.
3. Product Knowledge & Styling Expertise
Develop and maintain strong knowledge of Marrime’s gowns, accessories and styling options.
Learn new and existing product details quickly and confidently.
Use product knowledge to deliver expert, tailored recommendations suited to each bride’s style, vision and needs.
Represent the Marrime brand with confidence, professionalism and impeccable presentation.
4. Operational Support
Support the smooth day-to-day running of the showroom.
Maintain the highest standards of presentation, cleanliness and attention to detail throughout the studio.
Assist with general showroom tasks and support the wider team during busy periods.
Remain flexible and willing to take on additional shifts when needed.
5. Team Collaboration
Work both independently and as part of the wider Marrime team to deliver outstanding results.
Contribute to a positive, supportive and hardworking team culture.
Uphold Marrime’s values of warm, personalised service and luxury presentation in every interaction.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- 2–3 years’ previous experience in sales, with a strong focus on customer service.
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer experiences and build lasting client relationships.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent personal presentation and a professional, approachable manner.
- Ability to multitask, stay organised and manage a busy workload.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Flexible availability, including the ability to work weekends and take on extra shifts where needed.
Desirable:
- Experience in bridal, luxury fashion or premium retail.
- Experience working with a female clientele.
- A proven track record of achieving strong sales results and exceeding KPIs.

Education: GCSE or equivalent preferred.

Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Newcastle upon Tyne NE2 2SX or plan to relocate before starting work.
