Measuring For A Made To Order Wedding Dress

Made To Order Sizing Guide
Bridal sizing differs from high-street sizing, so we recommend taking accurate measurements. When you place your online Made to Order order, we’ll request your bust, waist and hip measurements so our stylists can guide you to the best fit. Size charts can be found on each bridal gown product page.
Made to Order: Taking Your Measurements
- Ask a seamstress, family member or friend to help take your measurements.
- Use a soft measuring tape and avoid pulling too tight or leaving it too loose. It should be taut, but never digging in.
- Your hip measurement should be taken at the widest part of the lower body, including the curve of the bottom. It should not be taken at the hip bones.
- Take into account any undergarments you’ll be wearing.
- Every body has a unique shape, so our sizing guide is designed to help you find the closest fit. However, additional alterations may still be required for a perfectly tailored finish.
Step By Step Instructions
Bust
Measure with no bra, or a very thin bralette. Wrap the tape across the fullest part of the bust, level with the nipples.
Waist
Measure at the smallest part of your waist, keeping the tape level and comfortably taut.
Hips
Measure at the widest part of your lower body, including the fullest part of the bottom. Keep the tape level and comfortably taut.
Hollow To Hem
Measure from the hollow between your collarbones down to the floor, standing barefoot and upright. Keep the tape straight and close to the body.
