Our beautiful Marrime Bride, Lucy, was the picture of elegance and class, which truly shone through on her beautiful wedding day. On the 27th of August 2025, she and her now husband, Jake, exchanged vows at the stunning Middleton Lodge Estate, a setting that perfectly matched their modern yet romantic style. With its charming grounds and relaxed atmosphere, the venue provided the perfect backdrop for their celebration.

Which Marrime gown did you wear, and how did it find you?
“My second dress was Blue by KYHA Bride, with the matching neck scarf. I didn’t go in with the Blue specifically in mind, but my Marrime stylists brought it through to try. It was the last dress I tried on that day, and I was instantly in love with it! It felt amazing, and the girls loved it straight away too. I definitely had ‘the one’ feeling.”

Did you make any bespoke edits or customisations to your gown or veil?
“No bespoke edits were made apart from adding the scarf detail.”

We love that you didn't feel like you had to make any changes to your beautiful blue gown, that's when you truly know you love it! Adding the bridal scarf really added a new dimension to your look and we absolutely loved it!
How did your dress influence the styling of your day?
“My Marrime dress was my second dress and I think it was the perfect dress for the night-do. I could dance and move as well as feel amazing and be comfortable at the same time. It was super different to my first dress so having an outfit change was so exciting as I loved both dresses equally.”
A second dress is always such a great idea for the evening, especially when it lets you dance, move, and enjoy every moment in comfort. Your first dress was totally breathtaking. We love that it brought a completely different look to your day while still feeling so you! Blue sounds like the perfect choice for your night-do, effortlessly modern and elegant.
Describe how you felt wearing your gown.
“I felt amazing! It was the comfiest dress I’ve ever worn and hugged me in all the right places. The corset top and the asymmetrical skirt really suited my body shape, and the dropped waistline really gave that hourglass effect.”

That silhouette was made for you! The corset detailing and asymmetrical skirt created such a flattering shape, and the dropped waistline added that beautiful, sculpted finish, something so simple yet effective. We’re so glad you felt as amazing as you looked!
What was the vision for your bridal look?
“Timeless and elegant but also me!”
Tell us about your veil, shoes, and accessories — were there any meaningful pieces?
“I went for a super simple veil as my first dress was very intricate with beading so I didn't want anything too much with the veil. I wore the Jimmy Choo ‘Love 85 crystal embellished mesh pumps’ and was meant to slip into something more comfortable in the evening but ended up wearing them all day as they were surprisingly comfy, and they worked perfectly with both dresses. I was kindly gifted some boodles earrings which were so beautiful and simple, exactly what I wanted for wedding jewellery as I wanted to keep it minimal. After my dress change, I wore my grandmother's watch she was gifted for her 21st birthday. It was so dainty and tiny and was my perfect ‘something old’ too.”
The plain veil complimented your overall look beautifully, just the perfect finishing touch! We are totally obsessed with your choice of bridal heels, a total statement that matches so wonderfully with your full look, and even better that they managed to stay on for the full day!
Jewellery is always the most wonderful wedding gift, such a kind gesture and something that will always remind you of such a special day. We also love the idea of your “something old” being worn later in your day, such a beautiful sentimental detail.
Who created your hair and makeup look, and what was your brief to them?
“Hair - Jordyn Breanne (@updodarlin) I knew I wanted my hair up and there was no one other than Jordyn who I even considered as she is simply the best! She really is the updo queen and gave me my dream wedding hair.”

“Makeup - Dan Beaumont (@danbeaumontmakeup) With makeup I wanted to focus on the skin and have a soft, dewy make up look. Myself, my mums & my bridesmaids all got our make up done which Dan and Emily did perfectly!”

“English garden was our inspiration! With our wedding day being at Middleton, it made for the most perfect place to achieve this vibe.”

Describe your palette — were there any colours, textures or florals that anchored your design vision, from bridesmaid dresses to wedding stationary?
“My florist and stylist, Melissa (@peartreelanestyling) literally brought my Pinterest board to life. We kept the ceremony very white and neutral based, and then added a pop of colour for our wedding breakfast and evening do. We focused a lot on textures and draping too, which gave such a romantic feel to the day.”
It sounds like Melissa captured your vision flawlessly! The soft neutrals paired with those joyful pops of colour created such a beautiful balance, so complimentary of everything, especially with your wonderful bridesmaids being in such a beautiful shade of yellow! We love how the textures and draping added that extra touch of romance throughout the day, every thought was so thoughtfully considered!
Any standout styling or décor moments you adored?
“We had a lot of feedback on the wedding stationary as I actually did that myself which our guests found really personal. I created seat tags out of oysters and designed the menus myself. I also created our mirror seating plan myself which added a bit of fun to the seating process.”

Your most unforgettable moment of the day
“The aisle walk. Walking down with my dad, seeing my husband to be at the end & being surrounded by all our friends and family was truly a moment I’ll never forget.”

What advice would you give other brides planning now?
“My advice for other brides would be, the whole point is marrying your best friend and being surrounded by your loved ones. It’s probably the only time in your lives that everyone you love will be in one room at once!”

What made you choose Marrime?
“I live in the north east so I have always known of Marrime. Once I started researching designers I found several I really liked at Marrime so booked an appointment to try them! I think I went back another two times after this to try on more!”
We love that Marrime has been a part of your bridal journey! It is so special when our brides walk through the doors and discover the designers they have been dreaming of online. So nice to know you are local to us also, we love each and everyone of our brides, but it is always special to know our local North East girls are our Marrime Brides too!
Are you/ have you been anywhere fabulous for your Honeymoon? We would love to know!
“We mini mooned in Ibiza straight after, which was so nice to get away and chill for a week. We go on our honeymoon in December to Barbados which we cannot wait for! I just want to say a big thank you to the whole marrime team for a lovely experience from start to finish. The team are amazing and so friendly!”
