When we met the lovely Chelsea and began chatting about her bridal vision, we knew her wedding would be something truly filled with love. And hearing all the beautiful details from her now, we couldn’t have been more right. On the 6th September 2025, Chelsea and her now husband Oliver were married in an intimate and sun-soaked celebration at El Viento, Santorini, surrounded by 31 of their closest family and friends. With the glistening Aegean Sea as their backdrop, their day unfolded with effortless beauty and emotion.

Which Marrime gown did you wear, and how did it find you?
“I wore the Alena Leena Rubinette gown and it was nothing short of a showstopper. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it - it had the perfect balance of bold design and timeless elegance. I knew it was the one as soon as I tried it on, but I also felt compelled to make a few tweaks to make it more uniquely mine.”
The Rubinette is such a striking choice, contemporary yet effortlessly elegant. It’s one of those gowns that commands attention in the most refined way. We love that you added your own touches to make it uniquely yours; those small details are what truly bring a gown to life.
Was it love at first sight — or a moment that surprised you?
“Absolutely love at first sight! I saw Rubinette on Marrime’s Instagram and instantly fell in love with the details and uniqueness. I already had my wedding dress but something in my heart didn’t feel like it was 100% the one. I booked an appointment to try on Rubinette and instantly knew it was the one. It made it even more exciting that no-one had seen me in my dress before the day.”

Did you make any bespoke edits or customisations to your gown or veil?
“As much as I adored every aspect of Rubinette, I knew the high neck would be a little warm in Santorini. I decided to remove the high neck, but still keeping the uniquely gorgeous sleeves, which were one of my favourite parts of the gown. It was a bold choice that still kept the essence of the Rubinette gown, but with a more personal twist. I didn’t wear a veil, as I wanted the dress to truly speak for itself.”
Adapting the Rubinette for Santorini was the perfect balance of practicality and style. The gown’s signature sleeves are such a standout, and we love that you kept them as a nod to the original design. Going without a veil really let the dress shine, effortlessly modern and completely your own.
How did your dress influence the styling of your day?
“My dress was the centrepiece of the entire styling. It set the tone for the wedding - elegant, bold, and chic. Everything from the overall décor to the colour palette was designed to complement the gown and create a cohesive and sophisticated look."

“Wearing the gown was an unforgettable experience. It made me feel like I was stepping into a dream - graceful, confident, and absolutely radiant. I felt like the best version of myself, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect dress for the day.”

What was the vision for your bridal look?
“I wanted my bridal look to be nothing short of extraordinary and unique. The vision was to combine classic elegance with modern sophistication, creating a look that was unique and unforgettable. I wanted to feel powerful and graceful at the same time, whilst trying to step away from current styling trends.”

Tell us about your veil, shoes, and accessories — were there any meaningful pieces?
“I didn’t wear a veil, as I felt the dress made such a statement on its own. I kept accessories minimal to keep the focus on the gown, but I wore gorgeous floral and pearl drop earrings by Megan Therese, which were a perfect match to my overall look. I also wore the Loeffler Randall Dahlia shoes, which perfectly matched the bodice of my dress! Not to mention they were the comfiest heels I have ever worn.”

Who created your hair and makeup look, and what was your brief to them?
“My hair was styled by Julia Popova and I asked for something artistic and unique, something that felt like an extension of my bold bridal look and wow did she deliver! My makeup, also created by Julia, was a clean, classic look, with soft natural tones that balanced the drama of my dress (and the hair artistry).”
Did you change for the evening? If so, tell us about your second look
“In the evening, I changed into the Louisa dress by Nadine Merabi. I wanted something fun and sparkly that I could dance the night away in.”

Was your wedding aesthetic inspired by fashion, travel, art, or anything personal?
“The breathtaking location of Santorini was a huge influence on the aesthetic, as its beauty and elegance was the perfect backdrop. The colour palette and styling were all about creating a serene yet dramatic atmosphere that complemented the stunning views.”
Santorini is such an incredible canvas, and it sounds like you used its beauty perfectly to enhance your day. The serene yet dramatic styling beautifully complements both the landscape and the Rubinette, creating a truly cohesive and unforgettable atmosphere.
Describe your palette — were there any colours, textures or florals that anchored your design vision, from bridesmaid dresses to wedding stationary?
“The colour palette was a mix of browns, blushes, and ivories, which brought warmth and softness to the day. We featured florals in those same tones—lush, romantic blooms in soft ivories and blush, with earthy browns adding depth. The floral arrangements were a gorgeous blend of elegance and nature, and we made sure to carry the palette through to the bridesmaids’ dresses and stationery.”

Who was your florist, and what did they create for you?
“Our florist was Bloom de Fleur, who created the most beautiful arrangements that tied everything together. From luxurious floral arrangements for the ceremony, to soft, cascading florals at the end of the reception tables, they captured the essence of the day perfectly. The flowers were a beautiful mix of blush, ivory, and brown tones, adding a sense of richness and warmth.”
Any standout styling or décor moments you adored
“The hanging chandeliers and table lamps were an absolute hit! They added that ‘wow’ factor to the overall tablescape and made the evening setting feel so romantic. The table lamps were something that I hadn’t seen done at other weddings before, so it was lovely to do something a little different and new. There’s just something about outdoor dining and the right lighting that hits different!”
What was the most unforgettable moment of your wedding day?
"The most unforgettable moment was when we exchanged our vows in front of our closest loved ones, with the stunning Santorini backdrop behind us. It was intimate, emotional, and filled with so much love.”

If you could give one piece of advice to brides who are planning now, what would it be?
“Stay true to your vision and trust your instincts. The day is about you and your partner, so don’t get caught up in what others might expect or all the bridal trends – don’t be afraid to do something different!. Create a celebration that feels authentic to you.”
