Every September, Harrogate becomes the beating heart of the bridal world. Designers, buyers, editors, and bridal boutiques gather in the historic spa town for Bridal Week Harrogate, followed by the Bridal Buyer Awards—the industry’s most anticipated celebrations. For Marrime, 2025 marked a moment of recognition, inspiration, and investment in the future of bridal fashion.
🤍
From the thrill of walking the trade halls and uncovering new trends, to celebrating suppliers and friends at the awards, this year’s Harrogate trip was one to remember. We’re bringing you the inside story: the gowns, the accessories, the new arrivals, the networking, and the unforgettable highlights that will shape the Marrime experience for our brides in the months to come.
The Bridal Buyer Awards: Marrime Recognised at the Highest Level
For Marrime, the week began with a defining moment at the Bridal Buyer Awards 2025—the pinnacle of recognition within our industry. To be nominated is an achievement in itself; to be shortlisted as finalists in not one, but three of the industry’s biggest and most competitive categories, was truly a milestone.

Marrime was honoured to be recognised in:
🤍
- Bridalwear Retailer of the Year – Large (England)
- Longstanding Bridal Retailer of the Year
- Best Use of Social Media
These categories reflect not only our standing as a trusted, established destination for modern brides, but also our ability to innovate—from digital storytelling to creating unforgettable in-store experiences. The nominations validated Marrime’s dual role as both a heritage bridal boutique and a forward-thinking leader in modern bridal retail.
🤍
While the glass trophy may have eluded us this year, the recognition speaks volumes: Marrime continues to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the UK’s most pioneering names in bridal fashion. It was a proud reminder that our blend of luxury, innovation, and heartfelt service is shaping the future of bridal retail.

Celebrating Milla Nova’s Triumph
The awards also brought a proud moment for one of our beloved designers. Milla Nova was crowned ‘Bridal Supplier of the Year’—a win that feels close to home given the extraordinary response their gowns receive from our Marrime brides. Their creativity, consistency, and commitment to bridal excellence make this recognition richly deserved, and we’re thrilled to see their work celebrated at the highest level.

The Marrime POV: Why Harrogate Bridal Week Matters
Bridal Week is where tomorrow’s bridal fashion takes shape. It’s where global designers unveil new collections, trends are spotted on the runway, and boutiques like Marrime curate their edits for the year ahead. For us, it’s not just about buying dresses—it’s about future-proofing the Marrime wardrobe, ensuring we bring brides the gowns and accessories that feel now and next.
Between the showrooms and runway presentations, the energy was electric, with creativity flowing from every corner of the Harrogate Convention Centre. This year, our buying trip was a blend of trend discovery, brand scouting, and investing in timeless Marrime icons.

Spotlight on Accessories: Ivory & Co. at Marrime
Accessories are no longer an afterthought in bridal styling—they’re the finishing touch that completes a bride’s story. This season, we fell head over heels for Ivory & Co., a heritage British brand renowned for exquisite bridal jewellery and headpieces.
From delicate pearl drops to bold, crystal-encrusted crowns, their craftsmanship is exceptional, blending contemporary detailing with heirloom quality. We’re excited to announce that Ivory & Co. accessories will be arriving at Marrime next week, giving our brides even more choice when it comes to styling their aisle-ready look.
Whether it’s the subtle shimmer of a hairvine, the drama of a chandelier earring, or the elegance of a tiara, Ivory & Co. speaks to every bride’s personality. For Marrime, it was a natural buy—a way of ensuring our accessory edit continues to rival the very best.

The New Veil Movement: Mantilla Lace
One of the standout accessory trends at Harrogate was the mantilla lace veil. Romantic, dramatic, and steeped in tradition, this Spanish-inspired style frames the face with ornate lace edging and cascades elegantly over the gown.
At Marrime, we see this as the next evolution in bridal accessorising: veils as statements rather than afterthoughts. Mantilla lace offers brides a timeless yet fashion-forward choice that elevates their entire bridal look.

The Arrival of Lorenzo Rossi at Marrime – Spring 2026
While Marrime is renowned for our curated designer portfolio, we are constantly scouting new names that align with our vision of modern bridal fashion. At Harrogate, one brand captured our imagination: Lorenzo Rossi.
Hailing from Europe, Lorenzo Rossi is synonymous with architectural silhouettes, sensual details, and couture-inspired craftsmanship. Their gowns embody confidence and luxury, with daring necklines, sculptural trains, and fabrics that command attention.
We are thrilled to announce that Lorenzo Rossi will arrive at Marrime in Spring 2026, expanding our designer line-up and bringing a fresh voice to our bridal offering.

Best-Selling Icons Return: Milla Nova’s Mirabella & Alaïa
No buying trip is complete without securing the gowns brides already adore. At Harrogate, we confirmed the return of two of Milla Nova’s most celebrated gowns:
- Mirabella: A true princess silhouette with a great sense of occasion. This Cinderella-inspired mikado gown is a bridal classic, designed to deliver the moment. The heart-shaped fitted boned bodice with built-in cups is elegantly enhanced by voluminous off-the-shoulder sleeves, while the sweeping maxi skirt and long train create a showstopping entrance. Mirabella is timeless romance reimagined for the modern bride.
- Alaïa: A pearl-adorned beauty—decadent and delightful. This refined A-line gown, crafted from luxurious mikado, features a cinched-waist corset with a draped heart-shaped neckline framed by wide straps. The lush full skirt flows into a long, dramatic train, while the neckline, straps, and upper skirt are delicately scattered with pearls, catching the light with every movement. Alaïa is a gown that balances classic elegance with exquisite detailing.
Both gowns will be returning to Marrime soon, ready to capture the hearts of a new wave of brides.

The Power of Connection: Networking & Community
Beyond the collections, Harrogate is about people. Bridal Week is the rare opportunity where boutiques, designers, and suppliers come together, not as competitors, but as collaborators and friends.
For Marrime, the trip was filled with meaningful moments:
- Catching up with friends of Marrime, from accessory designers to bridal press.
- Meeting with our long-standing suppliers, deepening relationships that allow us to bring brides the very best.
- Welcoming new connections, building bridges that will shape future partnerships.
The bridal industry thrives on relationships, and Harrogate reminded us just how vibrant, creative, and supportive this community can be.

Trendspotting at Bridal Week 2025
Every year, Harrogate offers a glimpse into the mood of bridal fashion. Here are the key trends Marrime will be watching:
- Veil Revival: Mantilla lace veils and dramatic lengths.
- Sculptural Minimalism: Clean silhouettes with bold, architectural details.
- Statement Sleeves: Puff, detachable, or draped—the sleeve continues to evolve.
- Pearl Detailing: From gowns to accessories, pearls remain the embellishment of choice.
- Corset Couture: Structural corsetry, celebrating the female form with bold confidence.

A Marrime Moment to Remember
As we returned from Harrogate, our notebooks were filled with sketches, swatches, and ideas, and our hearts were full. To be finalists in three of the industry’s most prestigious award categories, to witness Milla Nova’s triumph, to secure the arrival of Ivory & Co. and Lorenzo Rossi, and to bring back beloved icons like Mirabella and Alaïa—this season feels like a turning point.
At Marrime, we’re committed to making the bridal journey as modern, inspiring, and effortless as possible. Harrogate reminded us why we do what we do: because every bride deserves a gown that feels like her.
